Applications for the 2025 Be The Good Neighbor Scholarships sponsored by Bryson McCarley Agency will be accepted from February 15, 2025-April 25, 2025
Open to seniors in our three Hendersonville high schools (Hendersonville, Merrol Hyde, and Beech) or homeschool seniors zoned for either Beech or Hendersonville High School, this sponsorship will be awarded to students who embody what it means to Be The Good Neighbor.
Application Requirements
Candidates must:
Demonstrate the attributes of leadership, integrity, the drive to Be The Good Neighbor in their local community
Display strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent)
Be current high school seniors attending one of the Hendersonville high schools (Hendersonville, Merrol Hyde, or Beech) or a homeschool student zoned for either Beech or Hendersonville High School and graduating in spring 2025.
Plan to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four- year college or vocational school for the entire 2025-2026 academic school year.
Application Requirements:
Basic information about you, your parent/guardian, your high school, and your top college choice.
Your involvement in extracurricular activities (including clubs, sports, or jobs you have held or currently hold).
Your involvement in community service.
500 word essay what it means to you to “Be The Good Neighbor.”
A statement about your future goals.
Your current GPA.
One recommendation from a teacher or community leader.
A sixty to ninety second video demonstrating what it means to you to “Be The Good Neighbor.” This video can be as casual as you talking to your phone in selfie mode or as complex as a full-blown video production - that’s up to you! Use this video as an opportunity to go beyond the essay and share more with us! This is your opportunity to shine!!
